I saw this last year and it was incredible. Anthony and Scott took it to London a few months back and it just blew everyone away (read the reviews on the reseration . Go see it at UCB on Thursday at 6 for FREE! The show is so hilarious, reserve tickets soon, its almost sold out.

I've mentioned it before, but Jason Matsoukas and Jessica St. Clair's sketch show is really amazing. Seeing the "Scooter" sketch at the I'm Cool showcase reminded me how much I loved the show. Go see it Thursdays at 8 at UCB in March.

Shittiest Mixtape 2
Tomorrow at Aziz Ansari and Friends, my roommates Merlin and Zach will be joining me for some bits. We were talking last night and decided its time for a sequel to the Shittiest Mixtape contest.
Many people email me saying they could think of way better songs, etc. Well - here you go - post the songs you think would be good on the comments of this thread. Zach will read it and pick the 5 most popular from the list. (Only post one song in each comment). The key to these songs is that they should be pretty recognizable, although some weird Hungarian tuba troupe's music is real shitty, it just wouldn't work.
Comment it up. You have til 5:30 pm on Tuesday.
I'll pick 5 songs too, and the loser will walk around blasting the mixtape. (If I don't lose, I dunno who will represent the public, we'll deal with it if that happens.)

When I was in LA, my friend Jeff introduced me to these mixes by this guy Andy Votel. First off the two titles - "Songs in the Key of Death" and "Music to Watch Girls Cry" - are probably the two best album names ever.
Recently, I've been hooked on these things. Especially "Songs in the Key of Death." If you're into psych rock (like DJ Shadow's "Diminishing Returns" Disc 2 that I always mention), bizarre Beatles covers, sample sources, and gems from weird rock genres from South America, India, and Eastern Europe - you will totally dig these mixes.

President's Day Updates...
I hope everyone is enjoying President's day and celebrating as I do, by reflecting on my favorite presidencies and having tea. Here are some updates:

Standup for Healthcare Access
I'll be performing at this benefit on Thursday, February 23rd. Its a benefit for the NYC Free Clinic. Also performing - Colin Quinn, Greg Giraldo, Gregg Rogell, Dwayne Perkins, Todd Lynn, Bobby Tisdale, Aziz Ansari, Chelsea Peretti, and Claudia Cogan. Tickets are $50, but its for a good cause and dinner is included folks!

Demetri's Trendspotting Piece for Daily Show
Demetri bailed me out not once but TWICE over the last 3 weeks of Crash Test - and in addition he found time to do a pretty hilarious piece on MySpace for his "Trendspotting" segment on "The Daily Show." What a swell guy.

Human Giant Plans to Expose Shadiness of "America's Most Talented Kids"
 | Recently the Human Giant has become obssessed with the television program "America's Most Talented Kids." The innocent premise of the show is that kids below the age of 15 perform various talents ranging from piano playing to magic for a panel of 3 celebrity kid judges. However, after recently reviewing some of the episodes, the Human Giant has uncovered scandalous footage that questions the validity of the whole judging process. The Human Giant - myself, Rob Huebel, Paul Scheer, and Jason Woliner - are in the process of laying the groundwork for a brutal expose on this terrible sham. Special Valentines from Nick and Aziz...
Last night Nick Kroll and I hosted Crash Test and shared some special Valentine's Day cards for '06. We noticed a decline in the whole Valentine's Day cards based on TV shows trend, so we got cracking.
On a side note, I think Nick should bless the world and consider permanently assuming the character of Fabrice Fabrice. Seriously, Kroll get Fabrice on MySpace already!

An Evening with Human Giant at Mo' Pitkins
On Monday at 8:30, I'm hosting "An Evening with Human Giant" at Mo' Pitkins on Avenue A between 3th and 4th St. We'll be screening several of the Human Giant shorts, including the videos from the Plug Awards and "Illusionators."

Plug Awards Vids and Illusionators...
Several people have inquired about the online release of the videos Human Giant shot for the Plug Awards and also the online release of "Illusionators."
As far as the Plug videos, we are gonna release the first video soon. Its about Andy Blitz and I working at Other Music. HG director Jason Woliner is tidying it up for online release.
To hold you over, I found a clip of one of my favorite Blitz bits from Conan on YouTube. Its the bit where Andy ventures to India to get some hands on tech support for his computer. Check it out.
The other video we did for Plug is gonna be tweaked a little also, and we'll put that one out as well soon after.
As far as "Illusionators," right now we're not sure what the plan is. The cut we have right now is quite long, so I guess we're gonna break it up into episodes for online viewing. It could take a while, we're not sure. We're all real pleased with it though, and can't wait to have more people see it.
If you want to see all these videos though, you can come to "An Evening with the Human Giant" presented by CBS/NYC at Mo' Pitkins. The show is on Monday, February 13th at 8:30. I'll be hosting it and showing the collection of Human Giant shorts, including "Illusionators." Premium Blend Tonight
